~55Why it fills up

Only ~55 boats sail the wild side of San Blas.

They're also the best-value boats in the region, so in peak season (November to February) they're the first to go. Holiday weeks go first of all. Agencies that only sell the busy zone near the port run out fast. We book directly with captains and Guna families on the wild side, which is why we still have options.

  • Direct with the captains, no middlemen
  • Boats, islands and cabins on the wild side
  • Real availability, checked by a person, not a bot

Holiday questions

Can I still book San Blas for Christmas or New Year's?

Yes. As of October 2026 we still have boats, islands and cabins for the holiday weeks. Holiday dates are the first to sell out, so send your dates on WhatsApp and we'll check real availability with the captains.

When is Carnival 2027 in Panama?

Carnival 2027 runs from Saturday February 6 to Tuesday February 9, 2027, ending the day before Ash Wednesday (February 10). It's Panama's biggest holiday weekend, and many locals head to the coast and islands.

How far in advance should I book a holiday trip?

As early as you can. Peak season in San Blas runs November to February, and the best-value boats on the wild side fill up first. Holiday weeks go before everything else.

What's the weather like in San Blas over the holidays?

December to April is Panama's dry season, with more sun and less rain. January to March can be windier, which is great for sailing. We plan routes around the weather.

How do I get to San Blas from Panama City?

We arrange it. A shared 4x4 picks you up at your hotel around 5:00 AM, drives 2–3 hours through the jungle, then a speedboat takes you about 1 hour to your boat or island. Same route back.

Are there extra fees?

The Guna Yala entrance fee is $22 per person, paid in cash at the port (free for children under 10). Personal travel insurance isn't included. Everything else is in your offer, no surprises.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel 14 or more days before your trip and you get a full refund minus processing fees. If the weather cancels your trip, you choose a free reschedule or a full refund.

Your holiday in the wild San Blas starts with one message.

Tell us your dates and group. We'll send boats and islands that are really free.
